Duas to Recite When Someone Is Near Death.
For Female:
When you first hear or know that someone is dying, the Sunnah is to encourage them (gently and kindly) to say:
1. لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ
“Lā ilāha illā Allāh.”
There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah.
Hadith:
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Prompt your dying ones to say Lā ilāha illā Allāh.”
— Sahih Muslim
2. For ease at the moment of death
اللَّهُمَّ هَوِّنْ عَلَيْهِمْ سَكَرَاتِ الْمَوْتِ
Allahumma hawwin ʿalayhim sakarāt al-mawt.
O Allah, ease for them the pangs of death.
3. For forgiveness
اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهَا وَارْحَمْهَا
Allahumma ighfir lahā wa arhamhā.
(O Allah, forgive her and have mercy on her.)
4. For a good ending
اللَّهُمَّ اخْتِمْ لَهَا بِالْخَيْرِ
Allahumma ikhtim lahā bil-khayr.
(O Allah, grant her a good ending.)

For Male:
Duas When You First Hear Someone Is Dying (Male)
1. Encourage him to say the Kalimah
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ
“Lā ilāha illā Allāh.”
